The city of Milan is easy to reach and it is served by 2 airports: Malpensa and Linate

Malpensa airport is the most important intercontinental hub in southern Europe. It is located 40 km to the north-west of Milano and has two separate terminals connected by a free shuttle running every 7 minutes.

 By Train

Two train routes connect Terminal 1 to Milano city centre: Malpensa Express and Trenitalia.
Malpensa Express takes 50 minutes to the end of the line. It runs every 20 minutes to three different railway and metro stations in the city: Centrale, Cadorna, and Porta Garibaldi.
A one-way ticket to one of the three stations costs 13.00 €; an online 30-day roundtrip ticket costs 20.00 €

By Bus

The bus company Autostradale has a permanent bus service connecting Milano Central Station with Malpensa Airport – Terminal 1 & 2.
The buses depart from Milano from 4 a.m. to 11 p.m. From Malpensa, the first bus is at 6 a.m. until 00.30 a.m.
Buses leave every 20 minutes, and it takes nearly an hour to get to the centre.
The bus ticket costs 8.00 € per journey or 14.00 € return. Children 3 – 11 pay 5.00 € per journey.

Linate Airport is only 8 km south-east of the city centre and is used as a base by ITA Airways and mainly supports domestic and some European flights.

By Metro

From December 2022 the brand new Linate metro station, on the Blue Line, is opened to the public and operates connecting the airport to the city center (San Babila).

By Air Bus

The first Air Bus leaves Linate Airport at 6.30 a.m. It runs until 11.30 p.m. and takes 25 minutes to get to Milano Central Station. A single ticket is 5.00 € and return is 9.00 €.
